Kurt is a firearms instructor driven by purpose, faith, and a lifelong commitment to personal discipline and preparedness. Raised across multiple regions of the country, he developed a deep understanding of American culture and the values that bind communities together—faith, family, and freedom. Before his career in firearms instruction, Kurt was a standout athlete who played college baseball and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals as a right-handed pitcher. Kurt chose to walk away early from professional sports when he recognized that the lifestyle conflicted with his values and long-term purpose.

 

After returning to Michigan, Kurt transitioned into a successful career in marketing before ultimately answering a higher calling—empowering responsible citizens through firearms training and situational preparedness. He is certified in the State of Michigan in multiple disciplines, including:

Kurt’s teaching philosophy is rooted in mindset, safety, and real-world application. His classroom environment is professional, engaging, and built on mutual respect. Students appreciate his calm, conversational instruction style that replaces fear and uncertainty with confidence and competence. His approach is especially effective for new firearm owners and women who want a training environment free of ego and intimidation.

 

At the core of Kurt’s instruction is a belief in responsibility and readiness. He emphasizes situational awareness, decision-making under pressure, and conflict avoidance whenever possible. But he also prepares students for reality—the moment when there are no other options. As he teaches: “We don’t carry to take a life. We carry to defend a life.” His ultimate mission is to equip everyday Americans with the knowledge, confidence, and skill to defend life when it matters most.

 

Today, Kurt is a co-founder and lead instructor with Trinity Tactical—a professional training organization built on the partnership of real-world experience, proven instruction, and American values. Trinity Tactical combines the retail firearms expertise of All Seasons Tactical, the instructional background of Kurt’s firearms training, and the tactical and law enforcement experience of Brian’s professional service. Together, the team delivers elite-level classroom and hands-on defensive training for responsible citizens of all skill levels across Michigan and beyond.
